Officers

John David Crow, Chairman

John David is involved in oil and gas exploration, real estate investments, and timberland resources. He is a board member for the Shreveport Economic Development Foundation,The Salvation Army and Centenary College, and Literacy Volunteers of America and the Metropolitan YMCA. John David attended the University of Oklahoma, University of Salzburg in Austria, Stanford University, and has a Masters of Business from Tulane University.

Randall S. Johnson, President
Randy has been President of Green Crow since 1983 and is responsible for company operations and business strategy. He was previously with Rayonier Inc. for 12 yearswhere he was the Director of Forest Products. He has over 25 years of experience in allfacets of timberland investments in the Southeast, Northwest, and Canada. He has a Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School, a Masters of Science in applied math from UCLA, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of the South. He is a member of the Port Angeles Chamber and The Clallam County Economic Development Council.

Dennis Yakovich, President Green Crow Properties
Dennis is the President of Green Crow Properties, which creates additional value in the real estate market and the development of housing from land Green Crow manages. Intotal, Dennis has over 25 years of experience in both sales and contract logging, inaddition to log marketing and exporting. He has been with Green Crow since 1983. He was previously with ITT Rayonier and an independent export trading company before joining Green Crow. Dennis received a degree in Forest Economics from Washington State University.

Managers

Thomas L. Swanson, Area Manager
Tom is the manager of Green Crow’s forestry operations in Port Angeles, Washington.Tom has extensive experience in all aspects of timberland management including harvest planning, regulatory requirements, timber sales, log sales, timber cruising, and road construction. He has been with Green Crow since 1989 and has over 20 years ofexperience in the industry, including the Milwaukee Land Company and Paul Bunyon Timber. Tom has a Masters of Business Administration in Forest Industry Managementfrom the University of Oregon and a Bachelor or Science degree in Forest Management from the University of Washington.

Nick Brunet, Area Manager
Nick is Green Crow’s U.S. Northeast manager of timberlands where he was responsiblefor acquisition of 50,000 acres of timberland. He has been with the company since 1999. Previously, Nick was with Resource Investments, Inc. (which became UBS ResourceInvestments and is now Global Forest Partners). As a fund manager at RII, Nick wasresponsible for over $300 million in timberland assets. In addition to timber investments
in the U.S., Nick has also completed due diligence on timber assets in New Zealand. Previously, Nick was instrumental in Strategic Timber Trust where he was responsiblefor management of 450,000 acres of timberland in the U.S. South and Westcoast. Nickhas an MBA from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Forestry degree fromDuke University.
 
Harry E. Bell, Chief Forester
Harry has evaluated over $1 billion of timberland in the Pacific Northwest and New Zealand. He has extensive experience in silviculture operations and research. Harry has been at Green Crow since 1992 and, previously, 15 years with ITT Rayonier. Harry hasan Associates of Science in Forestry from the Paul Smith College of Forestry, a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management from West Virginia University, and a Masters of Science in Forest Genetics from the University of Washington. Harry is a Society ofAmerican Foresters Certified Forester.

Doug St. John, Manager of Client Services
Doug brings a strong business and information systems background to Green Crow. He has developed investment opportunities throughout the U.S. Pacific Northwest andfinancial analysis models to evaluate them. Previous to Green Crow, Doug worked at the University of Washington’s College of Forest Resources on advanced forestry technologies including aerial laser mapping (LIDAR). He nurtured a cross discipline coalition of researchers to acquire extensive research funding. Doug was also with Champion International and International Paper for five years as an operations engineer, where he managed a 1,000-mile road system. He has a Masters of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science in Forest Engineering, both from the University of Washington. Doug is a Society of American Foresters, Certified Forester and a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Washington. He is also on the Washington State Society of American Foresters policy committee.

Randall Reid, Comptroller
Randy has experience in all financial aspects of timberland and sawmill acquisition and dive stitures in both the U.S. and New Zealand. In addition, he has over 10 years ofexperience in log accounting both domestically and internationally. He has worked for Green Crow since 1986 and previously worked for Weyerhaeuser, ITT Rayonier, and Lindal Cedar Homes. Randy is a member of the Board of Directors of Strait View Credit Union and has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Puget Sound.

 
Larry H. Blydenstein, Comptroller
Larry has been comptroller with Green Crow since 1992. He has extensive experience with accounting in the export of forest products to Asia. In addition, he has led the development of flexible accounting systems specific to forest products. Previously, Larrywas controller for forest operations in Seattle and Hoquiam, Washington for ITT Rayonier, where he gained 13 years of experience. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Portland State University.

Dan Earley, Staff Forester – Investment Management
Dan develops timberland investment opportunities both domestically and off shore for Green Crow and its investors. He has over 26 years of experience in forest investment, management, and research. Dan has a strong background in information management and geographic information systems (GIS). Previously, Dan was a partner at Timber Creek Partners, where he was responsible for forest operations and investment strategy. When he was Vice President at Strategic Timber Trust, he managed forest operations in Louisiana, Oregon, Washington, California, and off shore. This included execution of a $45 million timber harvest program. Before this, Dan established GIS support services for the Timberland and Consulting Services Divisions at Landvest, Inc. While there, he also had responsibilities for forestland evaluation and management in New Hampshire and Vermont, with additional work in New Brunswick, Canada. Dan has a Mastersdegree in Forest Resources and a Bachelors of Science degree from the University ofNew Hampshire.

 
Mike Walsh, Area Manager
Mike manages Green Crow’s Grays Harbor, Washington office. His experience includes managing start up operations of  log exporting facilities in the Pacific Northwest and extensive work in log quality control in both log yards and harvest operations. Inaddition, Mike has worked in all aspects of harvest management including, planning, cruising, regulatory permitting, unit layout, road construction, and logging operations. He has been directly responsible for numerous timberland acquisition and sale projects. Mike has worked for Green Crow since 1987. His previous experience includes 10 years with ITT Rayonier. Mike attended Grays Harbor Community College and has a Certificate inBusiness from the University of Washington.

 
Ken Corey, Director Mill Operations
Ken manages sawmill operations in Port Angeles, Washington. Previously, he managed sawmill operations in New Zealand for three years. Previous to that he was log purchasing and timber harvest manager on the Olympic Peninsula. His saw mill experience includes mills producing specialty, export lumber. Additionally, Ken has managed log yard operations. His experience includes harvest planning and management,road construction, and log quality. He has worked at Green Crow since 1990. Prior to Green Crow, Ken owned and managed his own logging company for 23 years.

 
Jeffrey A. Grant, Area Manager
Jeff manages Green Crow’s Monroe, Washington office, including both log yard and forestry operations. He has worked for the company since 1993. His previous experienceincludes US Forest Service, Brazier Forest Products, Director of Forest Operations in Port Gamble for Pope & Talbot, and a self-employed consultant. Jeff has a Associates of Science Degree in Forest Technology from Green River Community College. 

Chuck Adams, Area Manager
Chuck manages Green Crow’s Vancouver, Washington office that oversees the management of timberland for multiple clients. He has worked with Green Crow for 1997and has over 30 years of experience in the industry. His expertise includes all aspects of timber operations, log marketing, and timberland transactions. Chuck has held positions with Columbia Vista Corporation, Yamhill Scaling Bureau, and International Paper. He is on the Board of Directors Yamhill Scaling Bureau and is a past president. He has also been Chairman of the Northwest Log Rules Advisory Group. Chuck has a Bachelors of Science in Forestry from Oregon State University. 

Roy W. Jones, Engineer
Roy has been with Green Crow for since 1985. He has extensive experience in timber harvest design and management, and road construction and maintenance. Additionally, Roy has lead the design, permitting, and construction of rock processing facilities for supplying sand and gravel to the construction industry. Prior to joining Green Crow, Roy spent 20 years with Crown Zellerbach. Roy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from Oregon State University. Roy is a Society of American ForestersCertified Forester.

 
Mark Gallison, Director of Rock Operations & Forester
Business and Bachelors Degree in Forest Management from the University ofMark has been managing Green Crow’s wash plant and gravel pit operation in Oso Washington State. He is responsible for all operations, sales and marketing, and capital planning. He lead the start up to full operation of this green field project in 2004. Today, it generates 600,000 tons of sand, washed rock, crushed rock, and gravel borrow annually. Mark started with Green Crow in 1999 and has held positions of forest managerand acquisitions manager. He has over 25 years of experience in evaluating timberland properties for private and institutional investors in the Pacific Northwest, including extensive work in all aspects of timber cruising design, field work, and analysis. Inaddition, Mark has managed all aspects of timber operations including harvest scheduling, unit layout, regulatory permitting, contact logging, and log marketing. Previously, Mark worked for the Boise Cascade Corporation as an inventory forester.Mark has a Masters of  Science in project management from City University’s School of Washington. He also completed The Management Program at the University of Washington’s Business School.
 
Tyler Crow, Inventory Manager
Tyler is responsible for forest inventory and geographic information system (GIS) management. He has first hand experience with all aspects of timber inventory including timber field cruising, cruise software, inventory databases, and timber growth modeling.Tyler’s background includes relational database design, including three-dimensional GIS and enterprise wide integrated information systems. Tyler has a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Centenary College of Louisiana.

Ryan Singleton, Silvicultural Manager
Ryan joined Green Crow in 2006 and is responsible for Green Crow’s silvicultural programs.  He brings a strong research background to the company, having spent the previous six years working in forestry research for Oregon State University.  Ryan’s background includes extensive experience with research design and statistical analysis, growth and yield modeling, and a variety of field experience from timber cruising to marking stands for harvest.  His research has been published in several peer-reviewed forestry journals.  Ryan has a Bachelors Degree in Business from St. Mary’s College of California and a Masters Degree in Quantitative Silviculture from Oregon State University.
