Green Crow traces its history back to Christmas Eve in 1983, when the Crow family purchased their first acres on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. Since this initial purchase of 16,000 acres, Green Crow has increased in size while maintaining its tradition of personal, courteous service.
Green Crow has steadily expanded its geographical operations and its services since the 1980s. After several land purchases on the Peninsula, Green Crow expanded operations geographically into Grays Harbor, Washington, in 1986 with the purchase of a tract of timber that was primarily western red cedar in the Grays River area.

Shortly after the Grays River purchase, Green Crow acquired its first outside timber management client, beginning the company’s efforts to expand its business services along with its geographical reach.

Over the next ten years, Green Crow continued to accumulate land as opportunities arose. The company continued their presence in Washington, but also began to explore opportunities beyond the Northwest. By the end of the 1990s, Green Crow had expanded into Oregon, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New Zealand, where operations continue today.

In addition to purchasing land and managing land for outside clients, Green Crow has continually sought other business opportunities. Green Crow operates successful rock quarries and log yards, and in 1999 formed Green Crow Properties to develop and real estate tracts.

As a result of the increased interest in timberland as an investment in recent years, Green Crow Management Services (GCMS) was formally created in 2000. GCMS draws on the company’s years of experience and expertise to provide extensive land management services to timberland investors.

With a history of steady growth and excellent service, Green Crow has earned a trusted name in the forestry business. Green Crow has the capability to perform complex management and transaction services, but still maintains its commitment to personal, friendly service.
